A New Book from Steve Courage
One day in January of 2019, I sat down at my desk to work.
Then, the thought of death flashed through my mind.
I started thinking about death and what might happen to my family if (like many other people), I die young.
By this time, I already had a company that was doing well with a promising future.
But I didn’t trust that my wife knew everything she needed to know to keep the business going if I died.
So, I decided to write some detailed notes about some important information she might need to at least keep the business moving so that she and my children wouldn’t become poor if I died.
As you can tell, such a document was an emotional one.
I was only 32.
For a 32-year-old man to be talking about death to his wife. that is a big deal.
I cried and hoped I would have the courage to write that document soon.
All through the year 2019, I never had such courage.
Although I thought about it several times, I didn’t know how my wife would take it so I didn't do anything about it.
About 14 months after, in April 2020, I decided to do it anyway.
I wrote that document.
However, in the year 2019, when I was thinking about the above document, something else came to mind, and that was;
What do I want my children to know about Life and Money?
While I think I should really prepare my wife to be able to make enough money to take care of herself and our children, I also believed that handing over money to my children won’t necessarily make them wealthy or successful.
I needed them to understand Life
They should know how money works so that they could live a meaningful, successful, and fulfilling life.
I want my children to be independent, knowing how to make their own money.
So, I decided to write a “letter” to my children, too.
While thinking about writing a letter to my children, i thought to myself, "Why not make such letter a public document?"
That's how this book came into being.
How I Raised Myself from Abject Poverty to Massive Wealth is the story of my life and biggest lessons I have learned in my journey
If there are things I would like my children to know about money and success in life, here they are in this book.
How I Raised Myself from Abject Poverty to Massive Wealth is a book about a man who had everything against him, yet faught hard to become successful.
I was born in the year 1986 by a cocoa farmer and a tailor.
I spent the first 11 years and 8 months in a dark village (Oyi-Adio, Osun State, Nigeria)
To add salt to the above injuries, I was born with the sickle cell disease and suffered from monthly crisis al my childhood.
My chances of success was extremely slim but I fought hard and God helped me
How I Raised Myself from Abject Poverty to Massive Wealth contains 13 chapters.
I started each chapter with a story (usually a personal story) and ended the chapter with lessons I expect my readers to learn from those stories.
This book is just being released for the first time and I don't know how much impact it would make in the Africa.
But I'm sure it would make make great impact in my children's lives when they grow up enough to read it.
So, even if nobody in the world reads this book, I'll still be happy to get my children to see what I've learned in my tedious journey from poverty to wealth.
Now, if after reading this book you feel like it doesn't change your life in any way, don't bother yourself.
Simply contact my office and the money you paid for the book will be refunded 100% and I won't take it personal, I promise.
