If Your Life Seems Too Difficult, Watch This

Oprah Gail Winfrey was born on 29th January 1954 in a remote and isolated area of Mississippi. She was born to an unmarried couple, Vernon Winfrey and Vernita lee who lived in a farm in Kosciusko, slightly away from civilization. Oprah was born into a poverty-stricken home. Her mother worked as a housemaid and was still a teenager when she had Oprah.

Not too long after she was born, Oprah’s parents had a tough dispute that resulted in separation. Since her parents were no longer together, she had to be catered for by her tolerant and caring maternal grandmother right there on the farm. Oprah’s grandmother never had much; thus, the naive little girl didn’t even have good clothes to wear. Instead, she was known to always be in potato sacks when going to school.

Later on, Oprah was sent to live with her father, who was a coal miner in Nashville, Tennessee. Her struggles and difficulties as a child were never relaxed, even while she resided with her father. When she became nine years old, she was repeatedly abused sexually by her cousin, as well as two other family members. As a result of the sexual abuse, she conceived a child at 14. However, the child couldn’t survive after birth since he was born prematurely.

Oprah was an optimistic young lady who was never devastated or depressed by the negative and disappointing occurrences around her endeavours. She flourished in her academics and was loved by virtually everyone.

According to Oprah Winfrey, her father actually supported her and ensured she grew up morally. He was a strict parent who facilitated her academics by providing her with necessary books and requiring her to deliver weekly reports of her studies. Owing to this support, it wasn’t difficult for Oprah to perform excellently at school.

She participated in the school’s debate club, drama club and student council. Soon after Oprah graduated from college, a TV station recruited her to handle local news updates, and in no time, was moved to join the morning talk show with co-host Richard Sher, which was widely recognized as “Baltimore is talking”.

Fortunately for Oprah today, without hyperbole, she’s considered to be one of the most influential and powerful women globally. Till this day, she receives credit for independently bringing over a million votes to Barrack Obama, using her endorsement of him during the 2008 America’s presidential election. She has been featured in countless movies, and have written and published numerous best-selling literary works. Moreover, it is no news that Oprah conducts a TV show that has the largest and keenest audience in the world. Oprah has acquired fame, power, immense wealth, respect, and charisma from all over the globe.

Oprah Winfrey’s story is genuinely a fascinating one, indeed. She was conflicted numerously by a thousand obstacles and devastations. But she did one thing… which you may call perseverance. She was supported and motivated by her father, and she made use of her father’s faith in her to push herself towards success.

Remember, she used to be sexually abused as a young girl. She didn’t allow it to affect her psychologically. She wasn’t demoralized, nor did she feel worthless.

There are high odds that you may be undergoing or might have actually experienced similar difficulties as Oprah did. However, your life issues shouldn’t create reasons for you to quit chasing your dreams.

Albert Einstein said, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning”.

This actually means that you will undergo complex issues as you journey on the path of life. But you should always learn from the problems and leverage on them to ensure a beautiful future for yourself. Also, you should never stop hoping, but keep persevering through hard times.

There are times when you may have a big objective to achieve, and there are certain factors around that may make it seem like you can’t attain it. Just ignore the objections and disbeliefs, you will end up an achiever.

Walt Disney said, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them”.

Moreover, being successful can be a good way of teaching your adversaries that their discouragements, disbeliefs or doubts were absolutely invalid. You can conquer your foes and leave them in great disappointment when you finally succeed.

Franka Sinatra said, “The best revenge is massive success”.

As long as you don’t relent, greatness awaits you!!!
